AbbVie Foundation, CARE and Morehouse School of Medicine discuss their innovative partnership addressing maternal health disparities
The AbbVie Foundation envisions a world where all people live their healthiest lives—we strive to remove the barriers that stand in the way.
A person’s health is influenced by more than clinical care alone. Education, access, social and environmental conditions, and financial resources all shape health outcomes — especially in underserved communities.
We work with organizations to address the root causes of systemic barriers impacting the health of their communities. By empowering our partners to accelerate and expand their innovative, community-led solutions, we’re tackling the most pressing needs and driving transformative change so everyone can thrive.
The AbbVie Foundation and CARE, in partnership with Morehouse School of Medicine, Lyft and the Atlanta Community Food Bank, are piloting an innovative model of care that provides complete, connected support and services to pregnant people in underserved Atlanta communities — with the aim of removing barriers and improving maternal health outcomes.
Insights from this two-year pilot will help us scale solutions to address other critical health challenges in communities across the U.S. and beyond.
