We offer initiatives that spark collaboration and accelerate innovation across our global scientific hubs. From speaker series and poster sessions to award programs and networking, ACOS creates opportunities for scientists to engage with each other, test bold ideas and celebrate the power of science.
Celebration of Science
This annual event gathers AbbVie scientists from around the world to inspire, discuss and celebrate bold ideas. Our quest to keep exploring and expanding possibilities comes to life at this multi-site event with scientific poster presentations, keynote lectures, patient engagements and networking opportunities.
ACOS Volwiler Honorees
Established in 1985 and named after Dr. Ernest Volwiler, the annual Volwiler Gala celebrates AbbVie’s most distinguished scientists whose research pushes boundaries and drives scientific excellence.
Pathway to Cures
The Pathway to Cures program fuels innovation through two key initiatives. In our annual Innovation Challenge, hundreds of AbbVie scientists pitch bold ideas to senior R&D leaders that tackle some of the most challenging diseases. Colleagues from across functions also collaborate in regular hackathons to solve critical questions and advance concepts toward clinical development.
AbbVie Postdoctoral Program
Designed to balance structured learning with cutting-edge research, AbbVie’s Postdoctoral Program provides world-class Ph.D.'s with a premier research environment. The program trains the next generation of scientists while advancing novel, publishable research.
